Practice Locations

The Albuquerque Kings practice 3 times per week, throughout the year (no off season for practice). We welcome the general public to come watch our practices. Practices consist of speed training, maneuverability, shooting, dribbling, passing, basketball rules, and scrimmaging.

Saturdays | University of New Mexico Johnson Gym | 12:00pm - 2:00pm

ABQ Job Corp

Entrance is through the gate located off Indian School Rd. You may need to press the button located next to the gate to buzz someone to open the automatic gate in the event it is not open. Once past the gate proceed to the furthest building at the end of the road which is bigger than the other buildings. You can park anywhere around the building as there are not any designated parking areas.

Directions: From I-40, exit on 12th street. (sign will read 6th/12th St), head North on 12th St to the first intersection. West on Indian School to Albuquerque Job Corps.

UNM Johnson Gym

Preferred entrance for players is on the North Side of Johnson Gym. Parking is available in this area. You may also enter the West "Main" entrance.

Johnson Gym contains several basketball courts. If we are not at the front courts look for us in the far back courts "south" which is down the hall from the main courts.

Every 3rd Saturday of every month you can come out to the gym and the Kings will teach you how to play wheelchair basketball!

Paradise Hills Community Center

Notice: Thursday practice is for the Championship Division traveling team only. It is a higher intensity practice dedicated more towards real game scenarios and strength/speed training.
Entrance is through West or East doors, either one will work. There are parking areas on the west and east entrances as well.

Directions: From I-25 and Paseo Del Norte, go West until you hit the first traffic light (you will pass a bridge over Coors) called Eagle Ranch Rd, make a right (North) to the next light which is Paradise Hills Blvd. Turn left (West) and keep traveling on this road all the way up the hill (appx 7-10min). The community center is just past the Paradise Hills park which is on the North side of the road.
